- At the end of verse 8, the author acknowledges that we do not presently see “everything subject to them.” This is a reference to verse 8 (which is a quote from Psalm 8:6). What does this phrase, “Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them” mean?
- Verse 9 begins with the word, “But.” What does that word indicate? How does it function to relate verse 8 to verse 9?
- Verse 9 says that Jesus is “now crowned with glory and honor.” According to verse 9, what caused him to be “crowned with glory and honor.” What word in the verse leads you to that conclusion?
- The end of verse 9 explains why Jesus “suffered death.” What is the result given in verse 9 for his suffering death? What word or phrase points to the result of his suffering death?
