Read Hebrews 4:14-16 again.
Verse 14’s exhortation to “hold firmly to the faith we profess” is based on Jesus Christ our great high priest. How do you think it helps us hold on to our faith to know that Christ is our high priest?
Verse 14 refers to Jesus as “the Son of God.” Why would this make him “a great high priest”?
Verse 15 refers to “our weaknesses.” What things come to mind as “weaknesses” that might undermine our ability to “hold firmly to the faith we profess” (v. 14)?
