REMEMBER: There are no Midweek Ministries tonight. We're off for New Year's; Our next Wednesday night meeting is next Wednesday night, January 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Read: Hebrews 6:4-12 again.
Let’s put some things together in this paragraph:
- Verses 4-8 warns that those who fall away from Christ can’t be brought back to repentance.
- Verse 9 contrasts those who fall away and the readers of this book, whom the author is convinced demonstrate “things that have to do with salvation.”
- Verse 10 comforts the readers by saying that God will not forget the good works they have done because he is just.
- So, what do the good works mentioned in verse 10 have to do with “things that accompany salvation” (v. 9) and God’s not being unjust (v. 10a)? In other words, is he telling them that they’ve done enough good works to be saved or what?
