Read: Hebrews 6:13-20 again.
- Verse 16a says, “People swear by someone greater than themselves…” Why do people who take an oath swear by something greater than they are?
- If a person lies under oath, what is the person they swore by expected to do about it?
- Verse 16b says, “the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.” How does an oath do this, exactly?
- According to verse 17, what caused God to take this oath by himself?
