Sundays @ 9 a.m.
Calvary Classes are part of our Family Ministries
The Mission of Calvary Bible Church is “to Call the people of Washtenaw County to worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Connect them together to serve Him.” Calvary Classes fits with the “connect them together to serve Him” portion of our mission. It is about “connecting” people with a teacher (teacher/disciple relationship) who can instruct them in the Bible. This ministry meets 45 Sundays a year from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., just prior to our Sunday worship service.
Next Adult Calvary Classes
Our current session of Calvary Classes for children, teens, and adults started on January 21, 2018. In addition to classes for children and teens, the following classes are going on for adults:
- Ephesians taught by Jeff Hatto. Study the New Testament book of Ephesians. This class will meet in room 233.
- Fostering an Atmosphere of Honor in our Homes taught by Melanie Johnson. This class is for women only. We will read the book Say Goodbye to Whining, Complaining, and Bad Attitudes…in You and Your Kids! by Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller. “For every form of selfishness [anger, impatience, manipulation, arguing] in a family, there’s an honor-based solution [celebrating differences, doing more than is expected, being a peacemaker, servanthood].” In class, we will discuss the teaching in the book and work on practical application. Let’s trust the Lord together for growth in ourselves and our children! Amazon has a print version for $12 and a kindle version for $5.99. CBD has an ebook version for $5.99. Let Melanie know if you would like her to order you a print version.
- How Calvary Bible Church Helps You Grow taught by Pastor Brian. This class is required for new members so plan to take it if you are a new member or are considering church membership. This class will meet in room 133.
